- There are some waves at Waterville, I never saw it busy or any locals, maybe there is now? Thanks to Breeda for letting me park at your house and surf out front. Scored rivermouth really good, was serveral years ago mind.

surfing waterville? - There are waves in Waterville. you just need to choose the day like anywhere else. If you know where to go it can be somewhat better than castle for the experienced surfer. There is some "aggro" alright, from your ignorant "burkes" but in general the fellas out there are cool enough. Lets face it, nobody in Kerry is Kelly Slater and the aggro seems to come in the form of drop-ins as they have trouble getting their own waves when a good surfer paddles out.

as good as it gets - the photos show it about as good as it gets. I would rather spend my petrol money on going to castle, a lot more options, a lot more consistent, and no one messing with me car when I'm in surfing.

What locals? - Not many surfers at Waterville, even for good waves. Too busy playing GAA.
Why all the aggro, enjoy the craic.

So What? - Whats the big deal about a bloke looking for a board on the net? Its hardly Kirra, Pipe or Sunset, if thats what the locals are scared of. Theres not gonna be a sudden influx of wave hungry shredders dropping in on all the locals in the lineup in Waterville. Do you ever get waves there anyway? None when I went there!

Essex Dave!! - Who cares if someones looking for a board "in the area". Get a life, the whole point of this site is to find surf breaks.

By non-existent break , 14-03-2006

Ballinskelligs is not a break - Mods/Editor: This is not a real break. Ballinskilligs are islands off the coast.
The pictures are of Brandon Bay.

- im from waterville, know of the kiwi in question,he's a weed wouldn't hand out a beating to a stufffed turkey, lookin for a board on this site was an idiotic thing to do and big up to the guy who went after him first, you have to have respect for locals on their home ground

Calling all control freaks - Only just checked this website after advertising for a board all those months ago.
I can tell you, if you do go to foreign shores, don’t advertise for a board on the net. Some locals go and get all ridiculous about these things.

Anyways, since then someone has penned my name and made me look like an aggressive little Kiwi. This is quite ridiculous in itself. (I’m 5’9, kind of skinny, and can’t help but smile all the time. (you use less muscles to smile, and I’m kind of lazy:))

I thought about some clever piece of prose or innuendo to reply to these aggressive taunts, instead I’ll just ask why some people think it is their job to control everything? Just let go, you’ll have more fun in the surf, guaranteed.
