Folkestone no longer works too much sand now banks - Folkestone is dead! with no dredging in the harbour the bay has silted up and no longer works just a sloppy mess. I'd head to ramsgate wall or Joss these days as the only places with a decent wave. freindly group at the wall too. justin

Anonimous - Folkstone sucks. 2ft close out mush crap. Go to ramsgate wall for a quality wave that barrels. Locals welcome new faces.

localism - Folkestone has a great group surfing there, just need to be polite to the people who have surfed there for years! they've taught a few of us new too board surfing and helped us out at every opportunity. whoever thinks they will slap the guy with long hair may bite off more than he can chew, best he stays away with that atitude!

Locals are pussies! - Me and my brother surfed this a while back and some local with long hair who looked like he was on benefits started giving it the im a local crap. Next time I see him in his £50 pick up he's getting a slap!

locals - I think your joint burnt out while typing that best roll another up and light up that badboy before you wake up.

Rubbish - I've surfed folkestone, and can only describe my experience as rubbish. 1 ft dribble in polluted brown water. Oh yeah i parked on the prom and the gate was locked. Spent 3 hours finding someone with the key.

I have checked it several times since and cant see how people rate this place. "Regional Classic" I dont think so"

folkestone sucks/folkestone rules - am i a crowd, probably. but as far as folkestone goes it iIS my "local" spot. i live on the swale estuary so its close-ish.

i wish someone would delete all references to the spots i love to ride when i am feeling selfish, and wish that all surfers could live in harmony when i am feeling stoned, dude, but i do wonder whether this site is, well, "right". it invades peoples privacy.

the spots i have been shown and the spots i have discovered are private info. just cos you found it too doesnt give you the right to infringe on my privacy, you see?

now crowds are, well, i mean i am a crowd to everyone else if you know what i mean; but i honestly dont see an answer in making it easier for people to become "one of the crowd". surfing is the hardest physical thing i have done, and therein lies the reward. take away the exploring aspect of it, and something important dies a sad death.
