- Rocks
- Man-made danger (buoys etc..)
There is a man made rock out crop which is right infront of the break so going straight is not an option, whatever you do just turn left people have injured themselves in this spot before becaus of this. parking no problem less then 10m from the sea.
Atmosphere
This spot is the last resort, its the old faithful that can handle most of everything like an old Landi. It is a short wave but when all the other waves in the region are blown out or the swell isint big enough this spot is the one to go to.
General
In my own opinion i think its a great wave risky for an absolute newbie and better suited for bodyboarders than surfers (rocks and stuff).
But there is a land development project scheduled for this spot so it might not be here in a few months or change drasticly, lets hope for the best.

To the Redman - Hi I am raul or bambam, most of the pictures around the world are mine cos I have been surfing all over the world. Well my story about the point starts when I got to swakopmound and I watched a little blond kid walking around wiht a nev surfboard. I asked him where the waves where? and 4 hours later, his dad and his family put me up for 2 months, he lived about 2 streets from the point and 5 km from the skidiving base. I was surfing from 6 till 8am and I can tell you that that place goes off, I broke 2 boards and I saw a few sharks. Dirki the little blond kid who now is training to be a doctor is the man of that wave, he backdoors it everytime. The right of the point is even heavier, but when you take of you are surfing it on dry reef cover in kelp!.....I surfed cape cross but the point was the higlite of that trip...I got the biggest kegs and the gnarilest wipe outs. The locals ar always happy to see somebody surfing over there.....and when the eave cranks is a mixture of a MINI THE BOX but left.............once more I send my props to all the people from Swakopmound, to THE REDMAN WHO I consider my family, Dirky, Jaco, Nelly, Jhon and my big broh, also to all the skidiving club, Craig, Sheldon Mcfarlane,Lissie,WENN the beautiful girl who loved me long time............if you wanna get your skidiving liscence and surf empty cold waves wiht lions waiting for you on the beach go to Namibia, any questionn dont esitate contacting me on raulatw1@hotmail.com
