Respect the people of the place and their gods then this is not just a normal place. When you do so, you will get some of the best surf.
Be nice and pay the locals AFTER they watched over your car.
BE CAREFUL when going out (reef & waves).
Works good only on lowest and highest tides of the month (I only tried the lowest tide).
Atmosphere
Have fun! This place is more than only surfing. and that is what true surfing is all about.
General
When you think about a perfect place there are good waves surrounded by beauty in nature. Just look around when you are there, isn't it perfect
Easy wave. Lots of fairly skilled surfers.
The bigger, the better !!!

Development - I really hope they would leave Balangan as it is. It's such a beauty. Defo one of my favourite surfing spot.

Rooms? - Hey guys,
Last time I went to check Dreamland, last February, they had erazed all the small warungs and bungalows... I didnt had the time to go to Balangan to have a look but have they done the same thing there or is it still possible to spend the night there in the warungs on the beach?

- had the best longest rides of my life at Balangan.Stumbled accidently when high tide no swell at Dreamlands and was the best find.On low and high tides its gr8 have had waves here from the point across 3/4 of the bay love it and gr8 food and people at the local warongs
