A good right-hander in left-dominant Bali. Ridable for experts from the far right side (don't go too far or you will see yourself on corals!) and also ridable at the left edge for non-experts. Can get very crowded. If your lucky you will be there only with your friends and the locals who took you there.

One of the best I've had! - Surfed this place in July one year, coming back from NL and it was firing with no one out, too exhasted to go out that day, we drove over from Kuta first thing in the morning and it was one of the best surfs I've had, no wind, 4-6ft and 2 other locals out, real shallow when it tapers off after about 100m...checked it the following day and it was blown out. Worth a look when wind is low.

unreal - Ive only been surfing a few years and was in Sanur last Feb. With no one on the beach and waiting to go over to Nusa Lembongan I figured a surf to be in order. So I left my lady on the sand and paddled out to 3 local kids in the water. Two of which were like 9 or 10 and the other in his mid teens. We were hooting and hollering eachother onto waves, comparing tattoos trying to talk balinese and english, etc. and surfing under a grey stormy sky w/ head high sets. I tell ya though, one kid had a leash with 20 different knots in it, a board all busted up with no nose and was just killing it with a smile on his face the whole time, even after he swam for it 3 times and added some knots in his leash. Just killer. The next day we left for NL, going through huge open ocean swells with no sight of land. Nuts. Not much to do if your a young foreigner in Sanur, but try to talk with some of the older locals.
