Its about an hour North of the town of Krui, which is about 6 hours from Bandar Lampung on mainland Java. You need to fly there from Jakarta or Bali. Its on the main road, about 10 minutes before Jimmy's you turn left, weave through some trees and bang you are there. HINT: Its near a creek run off, watch for the cows, they are always on the beach here :) DistanceTake a car WalkInstant access (< 5min) Easy to find?OK Public access?Public access Special accessDon't know |

It comes in as a wedgy wall. Take off deep and backdoor it, otherwise you wont be getting pitted. You have to be quick... its a very fast and steep take off. Inside section also barrels on the right wave but also a frequent close out so choose wisely.
Atmosphere
Crazy!! On heavy days this can get like a mini Teahupo'o! For sure one of the hollowest waves in Indo..if you want some local help see a local guy called Chechep who lives at Jenny's, he's super friendly and it's nice to buy a drink etc. from his shop to help him out in return.
General
Don't believe Secret Sumatra/Villa Desa if they say this is all to themselves, it's easy to find between Jenny's and Jimmy's

- right on Adam, people bitching about what boards they're riding shouldn't come to Sumatra, it's a far reach place and everyone should just enjoy seeing each other getting stoked. Just got back and had some great (if sketchy) days out here and enjoyed every moment sharing the waves with surfers and bodyboarders alike. Damn heavy wave and takeoff with the right swell, but it ain't perfect so you have to choose wisely or you'll end up on the cheese grater.
Also, just cause it's big at Karang Nyimbor doesn't mean it's going to be working here, the right swell direction even the local sea witch doesn't know as it seems to need both some S and SW swell that then come together to make the peak. This, along with the need of no wind & high tide meant for me 10trips before I got my one day, but what a day..........

Lost touch - regarding these last two posts, you guys have lost touch about what surfing is all about. It doesnt matter what kind of board you ride, its how you ride it. ( The board and the wave)
