DONT GO HERE! - I used to come here every year since 1998, but got really sick (hepatitus), it rampant in the area, also malaria has cropped up again last year 5 guys from camp at Karang Nyumbur got it. Definately going here at your own risk. Alot of crime too. Waves are not worth it.

SS ripoff - @ ge-off fair enough on the limited or first time call staying at SS but if you have a longer stay or have been here before it just isn't necessary to pay that much. Just to clarify I didn't say it cost half as much to stay elsewhere, I said to stay twice as long it cost half as much.
Sorry I shouldn't assume you understand basic maths, so this equals about quarter of the price and can be done for even less. For the cost of SS you can go to the Mentawais, if I had that amount to spend I would def take the ments any day.
As for Dean I keep hearing the same stories and the guy had the gall to hassle ME about dropping in on one of his guests.
