There is a rocky point down the north of the beach called the Basin. It is heaps fickle and breaks at 3foot in North winds.

dreaming - Once saw 5 foot faces at the front of nelson park slsc in 1990 during large cyclone.Apart from that, this whole area is crap. Plenty of sharks. Go some where decent.

not that bad - it gets alrite just off the rocks infront of the carpark between archies and kelly's i'v seen 3 or 4ft overhead there, thats only in cyclone season though
