The best swell indicator on the island, if there is no swell at Woolamai, you may as well stay at home. Has a lot of breaks all the way down the beach. Can be crowded in summer.

Good ol' Woolamai - This was the break I grew up surfing/bodyboarding. It has got to be one of the most frustrating beach breaks sometimes. The current can be quite strong at times, so you have to constantly paddle around to keep your spot in the lineup. I have had many a classic day here, but it used to be a lot better. There was a crazy storm on the island at least 12-15 years ago, before they asphalted the road to Magiclands, I remember Anzacs used to be a great spot, but now the banks are just crap. I still remember an epic session my brother and I had about 10 years ago at Anzacs, the place was covered in fog, you could not even see the sets coming in, but it was quite big around 6-8 foot (face), especially since I was only about 14 at the time. Anyway, it wasn't closing out at all, the waves were just peeling all the way into the shore. Now if it gets to that size it will just close out.Fuck I miss the Island (i'm in europe)
