Left handers. must be a experienced surfer to surf here. can get big, and can get good shape. It's a sucking take-off over a shallow ledge. You are straight in the barrel or you are on the beautiful coral... Best surfer at mid tide with a solid swell when the take off links up the inside reform. Best wind: N-NE wind.
its a good spot for the body boarders, but its also great for surfers.
Atmosphere
its good. god cliffs above it. it has a real surf spot setting. It 's a great place for diving.Chickens can get really crowded during the holidays as you can see it from the bus stop, normally lots of people get of and surf so it can get crowded. on uncroweded days it is a nice left which normally breaks in one spot and peels off. Sometimes it barrels nicley. The end has a nice air section but it's onto bare sharp reef so try to resiste the urge.

yeh its great. only if u know how to surf or bodyboard.

the bigger is not better
it max's at around 1.9m and whilst it still breaking it misses the bubble and fattens out, good chickens is bellow 6foot when it hits the bubble

such a good wave - me n a few mates got this wave so good earlier this year. like 6-8 spitting ledgy barrels.
the bigger the better.

chickos - i surfed 3 great days there in a row couple weeks ago
first day swell was just a little to big for the bubble so i couldnt sit so deep and cos the tide was maxed out it wasnt too hollow either. there was only me ans another guys out that day.
second day was a little smaller and perfect for the bubble. i was still a pretty new to the spot so it took me a while grow a sack and hit the bubble. the day was topped of with a pod of dolfins that hung round for half n hour jumping through the sets. was crazy.
