- Sapinus is a very good wave. The beach break is not very interesting but the reef is powerful, hollow, fast with 3 sections. The first one breaks on big conditions, the second and third one more frequently. The Third one is very fast and hollow. Experienced surfers only as it is powerful, tubes, and fat. I do not live in Tahiti but I have spent nearly all my holidays in Sapinus. It is dangerous but very good. Not everybody can ride Teahupoo!!!!

he's kidding... - Don't listen to Taapuna, Sapinus is a very good spot.I used to live near the spot you call " Sapinus beach break", ( we call it "l'embouchure") and I rode Sapinus very often. Beginners can try sapinus but it's dangerouse. Okay this is not Teahupo'o but it's as good as Taapuna !
