Carri is fun! - Picture 1 shows the potential of this place. Catch it on a large S or SW swell at low tide! The right is a fun rippable wave. Check your surf leash, be careful with the rocks, and have fun! Oh and get there early before the local kids steal all the waves. Peace!

You where there at the wrong time - Well, mi impression is you did not spent a lot of time at Carizalillo. It is not only a great hidden beach, very rustic and local, where you have to walk down (and up) 171 steps to get to the beach, but you have to get it a low tide. You go out the middle and then you can chose either a left or a right by choosing which side of the bay you go out to get the sets. I am telling you, I surf since 1964. I've surfed Hawaii, Puerto Rico, California, Miami and up and down the east coast. Carizalillo, was a great experience for me. The sets were over my head and was much easier to get out than Pipeline of Zicatela. If you are into ruff stuff go to Zicatela, if you are into having fun surfing go to Carizalillo at the right time of the day. Always low tide, great rock bottom (a bit risky, need to know where they stick out of the water). I had a lot a lot a lot of fun in Carizalillo. I am going back as soon as I can get another week off. Great summer waves, in the whole Puerto Escondido y never saw a flat day.
