illbiaritz - did this one late aug 06, good size, smaller as tide drops, watch out for boilers at lower tide, rips manageable, lifeguard pain in the .., locals cool, good for wife and kids too-good facilities, gentler shorebreak, fun fun fun, and great if youre too lazy to walk very far

News from Ilbarritz - Recently (spring 2006), rocks have been removed from the ground of the beach, and sand added to satisfy tourists. It may change a little the configuration of waves, particularly the shore break that was quite violent before, and more smooth now because of the flattening of the beach.
