When the swell is on, this spot has power. You can walk from here to the spot of "Bud Bud" (South). This area is not as crowded as "La Sauzaie". It works in a similar way as spots in "Landes".you can park your car a few minutes away from the spot. There's a small but very nice campsite just by the spot. It's "LE CLOS DES PINS" . It's better to go there out of season, because there are a lot of tourists between july 15th and august 30th.
Atmosphere
Crowded during summer, Wild during winter.
General
If you're a beginner, they now do surfcamps, in April, May, June an September. You stay in a mobile home at the campsite just by the beach, and take surfing lessons every day.

regular visitor - I've been maybe 10 times to this spot (I live 2h away) and it's usually been good/OK (only twice has it been disappointingly calm). It's a nice spot, don't expect anything huge, but it's pretty nice for surfers ranging from beginners to middle rate (a few spots around which can be more more powerful are "Bud" and "Le Phare").
I recommend going to the Clos des Pins camp-site, and renting boards and wetsuits from Manusurf if you surf, from Inside Surf School if you bodyboard.
It gets very crowded during the summer.
The closest spot on windguru is "Le Phare" which is listed here as "Le groin" I think.
Hope to have been of help.
