This is not a surf spot - First off its in Bretagne and not Vendee and secondly its crap. I was there recently and when it wasnt blowing 50mph onshore it was flat. There is a wave in the corner but it gets all the power taken out by the reefs just offshore. There is a large boat school thing right in the middle of the bay which also gets in the way. If you want to surf and are visiting this area go north to Quiberon or south to Longville but avoid this place. I feel sorry for the locals because the nearby La Govelle isnt much better either...

I love this wave - of course it's often small and poor quality wave, but for bodyboarders it can be a very funny shorebreak. Just check the good tide level and waves conditions.

Bat44 - I live near of la plage valentin. I know there isn't wave here in summer and it's not often good the other season. But when, by chance, it work it's very good. And the beach is wonderful.
There is la Govelle and la Courance : better.
But summer isn't the good season for finding wave and surfing here in Loire-Atlantique. Good shorebreak it's true
