krancha@aol.com - As I am going to spent one whole year in Oporto, I´d like to start surfing. Right now, I spent only one week surfing (in Praia do Rosa, Brazil). How about surfing in the northern part of Portugal? What are the best spots for beginners? How to get there without a car? Which spots might be risky etc.?Looking forward to your comments!

Correction - Sorry to dispoint you but it is absolutely right the wave starts working with SWELL (not waves) over 2,5m and can takes until 4,5m. It is a dangerous beach when tha waves are strong and powerful due to the rips and tricky and lots of rocks. However when it works is a powerful, full perfect righ, like a big ramp of watter only in the inside is a tubular wave.
