only with good swell. check el palmar and canos first. if canos de meca has good size, then it is worth to drive to barbate. If u catch it in a good day ur gonna trip over it, its and amazing wave
Atmosphere
its a wonderful spot, it will never have more than 5 people out, the best session I have ever had was there 6 feet, clean and perfect, the wave has an easy drop then a hollow section in wich u dont want to fall if the tide is two low, or if the swell is to small, and the tide is high. and then u have a clean wall to tair infront of u, for about 50 yards
General
when it does break, i think it is one of the best right-hander waves of spain actually. the problem only is that you need a good size swell

3/2 wetsuit - i was there a lot of times in winter. a 3/2 wetsuit is enough

beware - park your car in the town, not at the top of the hill. theft is common, remember this is the drug-port for Cadiz, dont leave anything of value in your car. The line-up is getting more crowded and there is definetly more tension in the water. but cool when bigger.

Be careful - Hi,
there's a real problem of theft here, surfers have to make carguard... The pic gets more crowded and the atmosphere is less cool. It's a pity!
