Leave Varberg and head north on the road closest to the coast. When in Åsa take a left in the circle, continue straight on until a sign saying 'Stenudden'. Make a left and drive approx. 3 min on a small forrest-road until arriving at the harbour. The spot is behind the big jetty so its not really visible from the road. Enter the water inside the harbour hand paddle easily to the line-up. After catching a longer ride dont bother paddeling back out. Instead, paddle to the inside of the old jetty and walk your way back out. Dont park your car in the harbour. Its private property and the locals get really, really upset.
Atmosphere
Camp in Apelviken Varberg. Dont miss Majas. Get drunk and have loads of fun.
General
The best spot on the central west coast of Sweden. The thing is thet a strong SW-wind is needed. A large jetty gives som protection from the winds when in the water.

WARNING!!! BEWARE!!! - I am a Swede living near Asa and have been surfing there when it goes off. This means its very fun compare to nothing at all. The wave is a wind wave, works only in strong onshore conditions. It has no power but it is surfable for a long ride. The right rate for this spot is 1 which is good to be in Sweden. There is no other spot in Sweden that can have a higher grade than 1 in a world comparing rating list. The reason why it has a 3 is because most swedish surfers are fucking kooks!!! Loves to talk bullshit and acctually believs in what they are bulling about. Never trust a swedish surfer!!!! Never ever! Translation list: Swedish: 6feet wave = english: 2 feet. Swedish: number 3 = english: number 1 or 0. swedish: powerfull = english: soft.

Photoshop - All the pictures from Åsa was made in photoshop. The actual numer the wave would get if rated correctly is -4. So don´t bother. I´ll just hang out there by myself smoking a duby doo watching the flat water. I´m a swedish surfer that must be trusted. I never bull.
