The jetty devides the beach to 2 beaches, the north beach has nicer waves on small days (60-100cm) the south side works only on larger waves 100cm-200cm.
In the summer there are lots of jellyfish and they sting.
The life guard on the north beach is a real pain in the ass
Atmosphere
This spot is best in the early hours (06:30 - 08:30) when there is a south wind which glasses the waves. Tel Baruch got also a point break somthing like 40 meters after the jetty that works only in good conditions in the early morning after storms .. that delivers fast and Powerful barrels!! u can get there by a boat or if u wanna paddle u got t be in a good shape :) some times can get a really World class wave!!!! Enjoy (dont miss it)
General
A nice spot with reasonable waves. You should try walking on the beach north 1500m . you could find great breaks and non surfers.

Tel-Baruk - Tel-Baruk is the break for our north Tel-Aviv groms & old-farts like myself. It`s consistent & like the 'Hilton' it picks-up on most swells "Neptune" sends us. The north wave-breaker gives a 'point' that 'A-frames'on the sandbar & mainly breaks frontside. It jacks-up sometimes to 2 metres on-the -face & presents a nice 'fat' wall which often tubes-out. Except for early morning (or late afternoon/evening)it`s crowded, but the local groms are a bunch of real nice, friendly guys (& babes!!!!!). This is one of the 'future champion incubators' & has produced some of the best surfies in Israel - Oran Weiss, Adi Glusker, Oded Friedland (kneeboarder extraordinaire!) & now Gil, the 'air-man' from Ramat-Aviv G. I was the first kook to surf here in 1974 & for 2 years I surfed alone (often amongst sewage outfall). Since the early 90`s it`s a clean, well organized beach & the sewage is no-more! It`s my boy Adam`s 2nd home since he started stand-up surfing @ the age of 6 (Zohar from the Hilton GAVE Adam his first board! Awesome!)& he`s just balistic about surfing with his buddies there. We`ve got a regular Jap diamond-merchant who rips here (the groms call him the 'Chinaman') & more & more babes are surfing with the guys!(Hot, hot, hot!!!). So if you`re in Israel & want to surf just north of Tel-Aviv or want to teach your little 'nippers' to surf, do it with us & enjoy yourself spiritually, mentally, physically - also a surfie`s 'chill-out' zone for stressed-out "Zaphonime".

Winter 2009/2010 - Tel-Baruk - Can`t remember a winter before that the waves have been so consistent(every week, for at least 3 or 4 days), such quality & so classic. The water temp. hasn`t dropped below 17 Celsius & the water crystal clean! Pray 4 waves!
