An exposed river break, better during winter. Located between Mocambique beach and Galheta beach (after cliff), 30km from city town center, asphalt and cubblestone roads.Look for Barra da Lagoa signs.
If it´s storm in other beaches, with east swell, go to Barra, it´s best option.

Best with west-south-west wind, east or rare north-east swell.
The wave runs outside the rivermouth and throws a fast, righ-hand barrel in front the channel.
Parking 30m from beach.
Excellent local cheap sea food.

Atmosphere

Could be a closed surf spot during fishing season of TAINHA.
Keep an eye in local news.

General

It´s great option during huge swells and because is so close to Mocambique and Mole beaches, the most concistents spots in the island. When the rest is un-surfable, Barra is classic.
