From Barranquilla take the main road to the beach as if going to Sabanilla Beaches. Right before the Country Club entrance there is a dirt road. Take it all the way to the cliffs and make a right until you get to the main break. During low tides the is a tiny stretch of sand. Paddle in from there. I say this is the heaviest wave of the Caribbean region when it's breaking. Be warned that this spot is very wind sensitive. There must be no wind or off-shore winds. Or maybe a slight onshore breeze. The wave is very powerful and barrels are the call here. The bottom is made of very sharp rocks and sand. Be careful!
Atmosphere
This spot is always empty. Usually they are surfing the main breakof the area : "el bolsillo"
Not too many people know how good this place gets when the conditions are right. Even during a small 3' swell this place rocks! It breaks all year round but it's usually blown out. I have surfed there with onshore winds but It can be very dangerous cause there is a very strong current and hidden rocks. Check it during the rainy season early in the morning...you might score!
General
Excellent wave. One of the best of the area!
