Additional Information
Atmosphere
Great, fun spot to surf. Black volcanic sand beach and usually the water is quite clean with just the occasional piece of rubbish floating by. Foothills of Mt Cameroon can easily be seen from the water. The restaurant on the beach of Tsaben Hotel serves great fish and chips and gambas. Very laid back spot. Ex-pats tend to come on the weekends for the surf and the beach. Can get here from Douala in about 1:45-2:00 hours in your own vehicle. Takes a bit longer by public transportation but it's fairly easy as well. In Douala take a car bound for Limbe at the Rond Point Deido. It will drop you off at Half Mile in Limbe. Then take a taxi to Tsaben Beach (just after Semme Beach).
