Zini is probally the most hardcore spot on the north coast. Producing some of the heaviest, gnarliest and powerful waves in the local area. Not to mention the large sharks, outside reefs and ship wreck. Rated one of the most dangerous beaches in South Africa.
There are no guarentee's! No protection from prodominet winds, however is surfable in light NE winds. Some days you might hit a luck and surf some of the howlest sand break waves you've ever seen.
Atmosphere
Small crew of surfers and bodyboards, all locals that have been living there for years. Always happy to see someone else in the water with them. Safety in numbers is the motto!

Great beach! - I am a local of zini and trust me, there is nothing more chilled out then any other beach in the whole of South Africa. Winter swells are awesome! On good days you get waves from 8ft - 10ft and really hollow! If you are driving past stop by cause its worth it! ZZB all da way!!!

Great spot - I've been a ZINI local all my life and I've had some of the sickest waves ever at my local breack. It can be a little sharky at times
if you go surf when the water is a little chocolate, but just make sure your not bleeding anywhere and its all sweet:)Best time to surf would be end Feb. to June.If your lucky you'll get some cyclone swell coming from Madagascar.I live in New Zealand now and here's some sick waves too,but ZINI would always be one of my favorites.
PS:if the NW starts pumping at around 11:00-12:00,get down there man, even though it may look crap from the top,if there is swell and the tide is rite, you're in for a sick session!
