Atmosphere
When the words out and this place is cranking, it can get a little busy but nothing like Nahoon or Yellowsands. Can get very heavy.

General
Can be compared to some of the best waves in the country WHEN it breaks. (thats the problem), its rather inconsistent. Dont come up here without a back plan. Check out the othe spots close by.

Sharky - I stayed here for a little while. The only place I have ever been in the water and seen Mako sharks jumping out of the water during sardine run AND had a great white swim through the lonely lineup. (confirmed by a fisherman down the point as we drove away) SERIOUSLY F-ing freaky. No claim whatsoever to localism, not trying to protect the place from anything or anyone... just be aware that it is FAR from anywhere that you can get any sort of help. Surfing alone anywhere is great but the freakiness factor here sort of weighs heavily against that usual pleasure.
