Called 'Gashers' for a reason - pull out BEFORE hitting into and rolling over sticking out ledge.
Atmosphere
the best or second best wave in East London and surrounding areas (for bodyboarders)when it works and you can pull out before the Gashers rock.
General
Similar to Kennaway Ledge but easier drop, generally smoother, hollower (similar to Needledicks on "Psychotic" except often bigger), yet a 'tastey' ending.

Gashers? - i don't where this info is from but its pretty accurate.however, coral doesn't exist in east london and i'm, a little unsure whether this spot can truly handle a 10ft swell - maybe 8ft comfortably. the warning about the rock on the inside is real! i got six stitches in my head to prove it. i've been surfing gashers for 10 years and it really is sick and a love it, i just wish it worked a bit more often!

Wrong Photo - Ya like shane says all the info is basically right but the photo is not. Ya although its a good spot I would say that it is not the second best wave in East London and surrounding areas. My advice..... get a car with lotsa petrol and head up the east coast for an hour or so.... you'll be surprised what you will find
