The wave is a sand bottom right point break. If the banks are right and have not been ruined by water flowing out of the river, it can get good. It holds strong South West winds.
Atmosphere
Strong localism. powerful, comes up quick, looks like it will be chest high and you paddle in and it's 10-12ft. locals are mellow but be cool, some of them rippp!

if this same piece of coastline was somewhere in Australia we would have produced a mick fanning by now...promising surfers emerge and just fade on this coast...bascially you have to move to Durban to experience competative Surfing. C'mon boys lets get on our boards stop bickering about local spots and SURF

Okay Sp0t. - Scottiez can get good, but when its not working, then its bad. On some day you can ride all the way from the Point, until near the cutty-sark. If the locals are annoying you, dont be sheep and look for your own lil'spot near by and you can almost be sure to have some sic wave, from heavy shoreys to gnarley reefs.
