- Rocks
A decent wave when you have one of 2 scenarios in place.
1.During summer have had a hectic SE onshore wind for days and it turns Offshore SW suddenly ...wait a few hours for it to smooth out .But catch it before any loss in energy from offshore wind.
2. During Winter strong flat West direction swell will produce Epic grinding dreging barrells from the last Pylon . Wave comes in at you for stylin off the lips and carves.
Atmosphere
Watch out for the bottom rock on high tide.
People hassle when it gets good for sure.
General
Stylin hollow tube with land hugger beach and boobies right next to it ....expect to entertain the people looking from the pier.

Inconsistant!! - Oh my word pew pier is the most inconsistant wave i have ever come across! IT NEVER BREAKS! during the year it is occupied by some jock vaalies with jetski's that think they are extreme because they can ramp a 1ft wave and get 2ft air. They are all hackers. But anyway..getting back to the wave - i have had some EPIC sessions at this place but they are few and far between. And when news is out that it is working the crowds come in huge numbers. And all most of the surfers cant handle the fast speed that the wave breaks at and they hack like crazy. Go to pipe or something if you're going to get in our way.
