MR WARREN DUNTON - I LIVE IN ELGIN A 30 MIN DRIVE AWAY FROM THIS SURF SPOT . I HAVE SURFED HAWSTON FOR WELL OVER 15 YEARS IN THE SUMMER MONTHS AND IT CAN GET REALLY GOOD FROM 2 FOOT TO 5 FOOT ON A SE OFFSHORE WIND. TAKE NOTE IT IS NOT A STEEP GNARLY WAVE ANS SO YOU NEED EQUIPMENT/BOARD THAT WILL HELP YOU CATCH A FAT SWELL AND ENJOY 50 - 100M LEFT RIDES.
FROM DEC TO APRIL THIS SPOT IS USUALLY GOOD WITH A 2 -4 FOOT WAVE. A LONG BOARD IS ACTUALLY THE BEST FOR LONGEST RIDES.
