best just before or just after typoon comes to hongkong. have counted the barrels for up to 45secs. a good view of this reef can be see from the asia supermarket parking lot. but have fun with the barnicle covered rocks!
Atmosphere
empty, worring about being fucked up due the very shallow reef. only surf at high tide as the rocks are above the water at low. a wonderful break that wraps around the island then continues out along the reef.
General
good if u have access when the its on

Access - You can paddle from the boat access ramp at the sailing club. This is located at the end of Hang Hau Wing Lung Road off of Clear Water Bay. I have uploaded an aerial foto of this point.

where to view from - if u go to the parking lot at asia supermarket, you can have a perfect view of the reef. when i saw the long barrels of 45 secs, this was just before and after a typhoon when the winds were down. i have seen ppl surfing there, but they had gone by junk. btw, this point to view from is above silverstrand beach. does this ring a bell? this where most of the tiger shark attacks of the early 90s took place. so, dont paddle out to the island like i did.

- This place cant be world class and certainly wont be worth paddling 45mins out to. Its sheltered and no swell whatsoever will reach it. Maybe a few waves but save your breath.
