Ikumi is a popular beach. Surfers from Osaka use the overnight ferry from Nanko to suf these waves. There are a lot of restaurants and hotels. This is a major spot, 2 km long beach. A good beach to learn how to surf. Easy board rental.

Convenient - If you aree in Japan without a board and want to surf, Ikumi has board rentals. Wetsuits in large sizes may present a problem however.
