no title - No prblems surfing here if you're into beach break closeouts. For me I prefer to find myself a nice rivermouth.

Daito-cho a surfing area?? - I'm not a surfer, but I lived in Daito for three years. There are tri-lingual signs leading up to the beach warning people to stay out of the water due to severe rip tides. The popular surfing spot in the area is Omaezaki, about 20 - 30 minutes east on route 150. If you are in that part of Japan, that would be your best bet.

go west! - Kikugawa river is not the best spot in Daito.Go about 1 km to the west, next to the concrete factory there is a small fishing shag and a toilet. 2 great little breaks, left and right.works best in high tide. Be shure to go early in the morning as the winds blows everything out before 9-10 AMalways few people there
