Omaezaki NNNNNNice - Just moved down from Hokkaido in August, and have had some great waves at Hamoaka and Omaezaki. To be able to surf in shorts until end of Sep is bloody marvellous.Great peaks to be had, but so so crowded on the weekends. Seems to turn into a windsurfing mecca in the winter due to the strong winds.Cannot wait for spring/summer 2006

surf surf surf - great beach break with sand/ rock bottom, spreads the crowds. Holds size. Hollow waves up to 5 foot, when it closes out head north. Just had 2 weeks straight typhoon swells waves every day. A Summer spot. Winter is cold and windy. Almost guaranteed a surfable peak all summer, albeit some small days. Low tide tubes, high tide bashable. 2 banks (inside/ outside) most of the time when its bigger. Go there, all your freinds are already there!
