It's about a 2 hr. drive east from Aomori city, and north of Hachinohe, near a nuclear recycling/storage facility. When you find the general area you have to drive past a small harbour/bay and drive around the corner along a gravel road for a few hundred meters. The break is either side of a breakwater and there are usually other surfers cars parked. There may be many other spots in this area.

Very mellow wave but rideable, breaks either side of breakwater depending on swell direction. Probably best if swell is at least over a meter.

Atmosphere
The local Japanese surfers were friendly, the location sucks as there are industrial buildings all over, but if you are desperate for a surf then it's an option. Water here is very cold over winter and right up until may. A full wetsuit is an advantage in summer too.
