New Caledonia tourism - New Caledonia is an absolutely stunning island on the earth and has the largest lagoons in the world, thus making surf breaks only accessible by boat. I want to suggest the Nekweta Surf Camp for the enjoyment. Nekweta Surf Camp is located further north than Ouano. There are two surf camps in New Caledonia both a scenic drive north from la Tontouta international airport. http://www.travelaustralia360.com/angling-in-new-caledonia.html

Temporary Local - Ive been living near Bagasbus beach for the last few months. I hope to see some real swell here for the first time next week the end of SEP 2010! It seems like the typhoon season is about to kick in. The locals think Bagasbas beach is world class! To be real its mostly wind swell or nothing at all. Never more then a handful of kids out and a few locals. Sometimes the weekends see a crowd of kooks turn up. If the swell comes about next week Ill be sure to post a few photos.
