Nang Thong works best on a westerly windswell and is more sheltered from the prevailing SW monsoon winds than other breaks in the area. A decent righthander breaks off the south side of the rock on a low tide.

Although it's the nearest break to town there is rarely anyone in the water. The mountains of the national park make a great backdrop.
