surfing it is very easy because surfers take the wider waves while the boogers can have a go at the wedge that usually is working. Park up on the headland or in the carpark, plenty of parks.
very fun spot
Atmosphere
the spot suits boogers and stand ups, easy to cheak out from the road on the headland.
General
great spot heaps of waves

these 2 guys - FAKE by 30 Jun 2006 - 12:00 NO that is not sawtell none of those pics are sawtellcant u tell they r not the same wave. ive surfed it an its not as good as that. Reply:mate your an idiot.most of those pics are sawtell.ive lived there my whole life.i surf there everyday.u dont know what you're talking about. No bullshit...Just a couple of questions. by Jacko 18 Jun 2006 - 18:06 I've been down to Sawtell a couple of times over the years. Questions...I don't remember seeing an island so where is the 'Island' break..? Also, there is a little rocky patch a little bit south of the headland which had a small wave last time I was there. It was good fun but I'm wondering how it goes in a decent swell..? The wave coming off the northern side of the headland was sick. Reply:Island is the most southern part of sawtell beach before sawtell headland.its not really an "island", cos u can walk there on low tide, its knee deep.but about 100m out from island is an actual island, called 2nd island.its pretty easy to see too.theres some sick waves out there on big swell..few tiger sharks too.massive cross sections there on big swell too.
