Atmosphere
heavy takeoffs followed by extensive tube sections as the intense swells warp through the many mind blowing reef boils.

from ak - AK hater - your a bit aggro arnt you. Ok you go left on the bombie, but not on the reef which is what the description is about. In any case most of you macho types go over the top and straight down on the bombie than actually make it to go left.

Kerry from Camden - I have been surfing for 39 years and I always look at Coalcliff. I love the place when it is working and have met a couple of the local guys like Ed Blackwell on occasions. Ed know his stuff. on the 30/5/2010 Ed was having fun getting towed in at North Stanwell Park great stuff the crowd enjoyed it. I have to say on some swells you can go left into the rocks from the peak directly out from the carpark and right. the bommie I have never seen workprperly but I can see the potential. The outer reef breaking through to the ledge I have surfed when it all lined up and I was impressed. the crew that I have met there in the water I have no trouble with and quite a few Helensburgh guys surf it I guess. As for swell I would think Coalcliff would work in any type of direction swell having the setup for the bommies and the reef, but would have to have a light S, to average SW around to W wind to work great. Good surfing guys and lets hope Coalcliff can get great swell this 2010 winter.
