Make your way to Merimbula and ask directions to Pambula, then ask if they know where the rivermouth is. Now instead of going up the road to the rivermouth you go straight to the ahead carpark. There you will see a beach. That is your place. + This spot is a popular holiday village and is only 5 minutes south of Merimbula. Just follow the signs that say Pambula and follow the long road that winds through the national park until you get to the Big 4 Holiday Hub. Just go straight and park at the SLSC car park.

Additional Information
Park your car at the carpark. It’s a great place to learn to surf and on the right day a challenge for more experienced surfers. Sometimes even the odd tube on a big day
+
Pics are coming soon. Can hold swells up to 8 ft and is the best spot within hours when the rivermouth doesn’t have enough water to move the banks around. When it gets big (6 ft+) it’s a big long drop and many people get barrelled just after take off, ride it high and aim for the light and have the ride of your life.
+
Avoid the underwater rocks on the point and try and fix yourself a spot in front of the SLSC, that’s where the best waves are. There’s a big carpark so there is no hassles there. It is very popular with Tourists and families, especially in Christmas Holidays, and I’ve found that most of the locals are friendly, but don’t drop in on them...

Atmosphere
It’s one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to the atmosphere is great the locals are nice and there isn’t way too much body-boarders (well not to much in the school terms anyway!) and the woman..mmmmmmm also the occasional group of dolphins I have been 2 metres from them before
+
Locals in this area are super friendly and always willing to lend a hand. There are stacks of local surfers who respect each other and always cheer on those on a wave (local or not). The best thing about this break is that us girls dominate in numbers and in skill!!!!!

General
I LOOOOOOVE it. It’s not the best surf but the atmosphere is great and its worth going there for the holidays. I go every year
+
Nice, Very Nice, there is a caravan park with showers and a pisser.
+
This beach break can be a little fickle but it breaks well enough most days for a decent surf. If the swell is right it goes nuts. The best, most consistent spot is about 100m up the beach or, if you’re brave, near the rocks (it doesn’t take much to end up ON the rocks!). Beginners should surf just in front of the surf club, but take care of the permanent rip that takes you around the rocks to the rivermouth.
The best times to surf are always the coldest, so wear a steamer.
