Lack of quality waves. With a good swell (6-8 ft), the breakwall at the entrance to Lake Macquarie offer 2 waves: in the channel and beside the wall. Inconsistent. The locals recon its the better side of the channel and is a better break than Frenchies and
Caves.

pfft - blackies beach sucks ass, seriously, go to town or out moon or pilos rather than waste your time on this crap. I have been to blackies and overall amount of 10 times and i haven't been back there in about 2 years,

blackies - with the east, northeast swell with west to southwest winds blakies breakwall is the best surfing wave in newcastle and the mid-north coast. It barrels out the end and then rolls all the way in and sucks up to shorey.it goes for so long that your legs get saw halfway along the wave. its my favourite spot when its working.

one of the the best but last i would ever go to again - Blackies wa a good spot to board then it got over crowed to many wankers started to surf there then they screwed it for the rest of us that is why i board nobbys more no more wankers ha ha ha ha ha ha............. that is it
