Goes well when its small and offshore - picks up a fair bit of swell. good alternative when everywhere else is crowded. hates onshore winds. easy take off, with a nice long wall easy to work with the occasional section to hit.works best in offshore but is protected from the n/e wind.often good sand bars along the beach
Atmosphere
Laid back atmosphere, good locals, occasional nudists - just be prepared for the sewerage smell when its blowin offshore

just a good solid beachbreak - crowds well spread out.

Some help please - Greet,sIm writing from Europe...I hear merewether has a decent, consistent surf, but what's great about the place is that it's a real surf community.Iheard the local crew is pretty cool and that everyone surfs...Is that the truth? Can somebody please reply on this and tell me in details.I first heard about it when I heard about Silverchair.
