Take Lennox Head road from Byron Bay, there are signs.at the bottom end of the central coast first find kilcare beach ( very sick also). the area of tallows beach is in a national park with registered camping grounds so info is not too hard to come by. if you have a 4wd you can drive half the hour long walking track till you come to a locked gate, everyone must walk from here. there is also another little beach 10-15 walk south of the main tallows beach aptly named little tallows. both spots are marked on local maps. tallows will have a decent 3-4 foot wave when the rest of the ccoast is 1/2 a foot

this is the prettiest little beach, most times it will only be you and yours surfing it, the water is like crystal. good camping facilities are available so its well worth spendin a couple of summer nights. A great place to surf!! Not a good place for learners though, they'd be better off surfing main beach, where there's also surf live-savers.Good place to stay is backpackers inn on the beach, pretty laid back, infamous sangria nights!! (29 Shirley street, Byron Bay, aus)

Nice beach - Yeah surfed this place a few years back on a small day and it was nice. Bit of a crowd though and Byron is a bit too touristy these days. Better spots along the coast if you're willing to hunt around.
