Go to Byron. If you can't find it from there, don't surf it cause you won't get a wave from the locals. DistanceTake a car WalkInstant access (< 5min) Easy to find?Easy to find Public access?Public access Special accessDon't know |

- Localism
Stay out of the way of the locals, particuarly in tourist season, it's when they are at their maddest. There's a big carpark just up the boat ramp but get in early as it fills up fast.
Atmosphere
Look out for the dive boats, they come out through the line up and they will hit you if you dont move. Show respect to the locals and you might get a wave if they don't feel like taking it. The locals make sure its very hostile for any tourists trying to get some sneaker sets.
General
It's pretty damn nice on low tide, getting super sucky and hollow. Get a big swell with nice banks and you could catch a workable bomb right through into the Bay, about 250-300m. Only problem is it gets way too crowded.

Welcome to the jungle - What a zoo.
100 people on one take off point.
Arm breaking current sweep.
Not much different than the super bank.
There are so many other great waves in this region, search and be rewarded.
Don't bother with this hassle fest.

the pass. - The pass is a fun dream like kind of wave. there is a rocky outcrop near the take off. where the wave will hit the shallow sand that builds up next to the take of section. you can pull into a tight sucky tube. hold your position tho put the gas on so you get enough speed to make it out of the first section. the wave can get quite fast but once youv made that first section an havnt ran over any kooks. the wave reels down the bank and it is one of the most fun shaped waves you will find on its day. tho its dependednt on the sandbanks. sometimes the banks are crap an the wave is crap sometimes the banks are epic the wave is epic. then the wave keeps peeling down for 100s of meters to a section called clarks. it can be a bit more easy going to surf down there. becouse the crowd is les intence. an the bank at clarks can be so fun just drane pipe barrels that go for so long your legs will feel like noodles an you will proberly gumby of the wave before the wave ends at main beach. anyways i live in the aria an surf the place a lot. just letting you know its really crowded, an dont drop in on locals or youl get smashed.
peace
