- U silly people. All blowins. the spots are as follows.. no questions ! i surf around this head land pretty much everytime the wind is right !
ok so .....................
If facing out to the ocean, dontals is a LEFT !!!! that runs or the corner of the rocky outpost (the very tip of the land). There is also a wave called dontals rights, this breaks across the bay from dontals. .. Makaha is a Bombie !!!! tha tbreaks in the middle of the bay to the left of Dontels ! Makaha Point (also knows as mini shark island) is the wave that breaks (right handed) aroudn the front of the outcrop and occasionally raps around, but usually just runs parralel into the bay (makaha bay.)
..
Now for the biggest shock !
LITTLE MAKAHAH breaks inside the bay.. it has only broken twice in the last 2 years so chances are none of you people have even seen it.. it literally breaks like cross waves (newport) and it runs along the place where you walk out to get to dontels, along the semi submerged path..
it is Hugely TIDE dependant, as well as swell, wind, and bank. This info i wont give away,, this spot, when it breaks is ridiculously local, so good luck to any of you who work out when its breaking..
froth...
peace...

dontals ... A fun Wave ? - when dontals is like in the picture on the right side its scary when i was 15 and super keen i went out with just one other person to surf it at the peak of a huge south swell that was a solid 8 foot with 10 foot sets and some things that were bigger i swear it. Surf at that size is hard to judge when no ones out.We got Smashed! its the closest to drowning i have been,so much water moving across the ledge its hard to stay in the take off spot and we spot this dark feathering line and we were way... Way out the back.I copped the lip of this giant wave on the head i was paddling in changing my mind paddling back out, as the thing stacked up ... Then KaFricken BOOM!! a swimming pool poured on top of me my wettie bilowing in the preasure like i was the mitchalin man Christ it was exciting!

Yo - Yeah photo 2 is dontals dawg.
this place is really ledgy and sucky, top notch break when it works, which can be often, but seeing as its so open, it can be affected by wind majorly, so hit it early before the wind hits and youll have heaps of fun.
beware of reef hustlers/locals.
have fun and respect dudes in the water !
