its called ledgends - back in the day in the 70's when there used to be 100 foot tall sand dunes on the kurnell peninsular that were visible from saddleback mountain in kiama and the beach at wanda used to extend 80m from the dunes, and blackwoods beach used to extend half way out to the island and suck rock was covered by a beach, ledgends used to be the best wave in cronulla, a huge reef that was covered by a hard packed sand bank. it used to handle any sized swell and barrel for 250+ metres and then dump into the shore break. if you dont belive me, check out an old nulla movie called puberty blues and suss out all the sand in the shots covering the cliff at voodoo and and the scenes in green hills when it was a thick jungle.
