Take the turn off from Marion Bay out to Daly Heads, after about 10km take the signposted road out to Gym Beach. Park in the carpark, and look over the bay, if it is on you will see lines of swell breaking on the reef in the middle of the beach, about 1km away. Hollow left and a perfect barrel when conditions come together, this one-time secret spot now gets crowded. On its day the best wave at Yorkes, but it is a fickle surf spot that needs a lot of factors to turn on, starting with a big westerly swell. Comes in from deep water and breaks onto a patch of reef that is about shoulder high, before running down the reef before ending in a deep water channel. A scaled down version of Blackfellows at Elliston.
Atmosphere
Beautiful area, great wave but needs a lot of factors to turn on. A lot of people hang for this wave these days though and so if it is on, expect a busy crowd...

RESPECT - i think every 1 shuld stop whining bout who is a kook rather give people who charge respect and it shouldnt matter if they boog or stick its still pushing into a big wave. it dosent matter bout kooks thell fall off and get stuck inbetween the reef. the wave is pretty sick an intense shallow wave but the reef is dodgy, theres a fair bit of sea life around there aswell.
