Additional Information
Lauderdale point is one of 6 points that line this stretch of coast. Due to its protected position, it need a huge SW swell before it starts breaking, but when it does, it can be great fun. The take off is a bit sucky but after that it is a gently, peeling righthander thet can break for some distance. It works only a few times a year, but when it does, you can expect big crowds. Locals, especially Old School mal rider can be an annoyance, however because of the length that the wave breaks, you dont have to wait long in the lineup - everyone is either on a wave, or walking back to the take off point. After catching a wave, the walk back to the lineup can be very tough on the feet. It's all pebbles and rock.

Atmosphere
If your lucky you might surf 'the points' 5 or 6 times a year, nearly always in the winter months, however, you may get it working in summer if you are real lucky. (Ive been surfing about 10 years and have surfed it without a wetsuit only twice!) Watch out for them Mal riders.

General
If only it was a bit more exposed to swell.
+
Although waves are not massive, provides a long and excellent ride, only 15 mins from the city central, nice beach

- Just one of many points breaks down the arm when the swell is to big for the beachs and wedge. have'nt surfed this point myself but point break = good waves, need to get rid of bruny so these breaks will work nearly every day
