Goa couple of K's past Marrawah to Arthur River, turn off to the right just before the bridge and drive along the river as far as you can go. Then walk along the shore until you see a big rock about 30 metres offshore on your right there will be a path going up into the sand dunes, follow that until you get to the beach, then paddle out to the sand bar which goes across the entrance to the bay.

 Additional Information

This place has got a peak that can shift more than 50 metres in any direction without warning, making it hard to get waves and putting you in danger of ending up the impact zone all of a sudden. The whole bay has rips and currents that come and go without warning as the peak shifts. The left is shorter than the right but is heavier.

Atmosphere

Usually empty, but sometimes on really small days people come down here from Marrawah because this place picks up more swell.

General

The shifty peak and weird rips make it dangerous in a freaky way but on flat days it's worth a look because this place is a swell magnet and can be overhead when Marrawah is less than ankle high
