My name is (Mr.) Kim Guthrie I found this break with a mate Dennis Warwick in the 70's. My nickname was 'Gumboot' (because I wore gumboots down the surf in winter as practical footwear) I showed a couple of mates wh used to say "Let's check Gumboot's left" The name stuck and I feel honoured to have a surf break named after me!!!
