This is a spot for a practice surf when the SW changes rip through. Good for beginners that can't get down to the ocean or for a practice session. Needs a howling onshore to get going.

yep - i was out her once it felt like pipeline it was 8ft+ i reckon it gets really big and heavy

summer is peak season - guys dont talk about this wave unless you hav rode it... only a select number of people get to tell the tale of riding such a mean monster.... it sucks dry pitching out into the shallows front of the beach.... my granpa surfed it in 1972 when surfboards were not even well known... he used a plank of rosewood...respect for gramps .... pensioners get no respect...

Balzy bay basha - For all you pussies that think Brighton beach is a hoax you haven't lived life. Iv been surfing for 15 years and i've surfed places such as Gland and Bells. They aint got nothing on Brighton beach on its day. We were out there and it was howling onshore 6-8 foot sets and then all of a sudden it went offshore and the swell hung around. If you think for a second there was never a wave there talk to ol mate Brumby whos dredging has ruined this little gem.
