Atmosphere
Awseome!! This area picks up a lot of swell and there are several lefts to be surfed in the area. Combine this with a high chance of off-shores in summer and autumn - and you have a great destination.

Fantastic

Waratah bay - Forget waratah bay, it barely ever breaks and when it does theres rocks sticking out in the lineup, use a shit board and wear booties cause you gonna get cut up, Ive seen a few big fish with sharp teeth there aswell. The wave isnt that great anyway, too fast and sections alot. Chicking rock is just a fat burger of a wave. Only for Mals and even then its pretty shit.

chicky - waratah can be awesome chicken rock can hold massive massive surf. as you all no it needs some swell to break about 5ft an it starts breakin. i grew up surfin here an its great the gap can have some good beachies to as can sandy.ps if chicken get big it can start brekin about 150m(or more) offshore of the reef then comes trough the rocks an come all the way in awsome wave. cant wait to surf it again...
